Dr. Hafeez Basha earned his Ph. D in Advanced Technology from the Graduate School of Science and Technology at Kumamoto University, a Top Global Public University recognized as a Research University (RU-22) in Japan. He was awarded the prestigious ‘Monbukagakusho Scholarship’ by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Government of Japan. He also had the opportunity to attend Winter School at Blaise Pascal University, France, and Summer School at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam. He is noted for receiving highest funding in the form of Travel Grants. On the day of his convocation on 25th March 2016, he was honored with the ‘Dean’s Award for Research Excellence’. Additionally, he served as a Research Assistant for the MEXT-supported International Joint Education Program and gained recognition as a ‘Groundwater Environmental Leader’. Kumamoto City, Japan received the United Nations Water for Life Best Practices Award in 2013 in the category of Best Water Management Practices, highlighting the city’s exceptional groundwater and waste water management efforts.
Master of Technology (M. Tech)

Dr. Hafeez Basha while working as Research Analyst at Thomson Reuters (Now Clarivate Analytics), Hitech City got an opportunity for higher studies through their ‘Learn While you Earn’ Program. He did his Master of Technology (M. Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur with sponsorship from the company. He was also a recipient of ‘Young Scientist Award’ by Minister Hasan Miyalal Mushrif in 2010 for his scientific investigations and research work presented in both academic conferences and publications in international journals.
He was supervised by Prof. Niraj Upadhayaya, Deputy Director Retd., Prasar Bharathi, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India who himself did his Ph. D from the University of West of England, Bristol, UK. He was also well appreciated by Ms. Viji Krishnan the then Senior Vice President, Thomson Reuters and later Managing Director, Clarivate Analytics, Boston, USA and Dr. Josep Prous, President & CEO, Prous Science and Chief Science Officer, Thomson Reuters, Philadelphia, USA during their business trips to Hyderabad, India.
Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech)

Dr. Hafeez Basha did his Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) from Shadan College of Engineering and Technology (SCET) affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU Hyderabad). He was financially supported by Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme for Minorities, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India disbursed through the Andhra Pradesh State Minorities Finance Corporation (APSMFC). During his B. Tech he developed immense interest in Research and Development (R&D) and worked on his maiden project on ‘Application of Artificial Intelligence in Missile Technology’ supervised by Prof. Karre Laxminarayana, Director Retd., DLRL-DRDO.
He holds a Track Record of winning prizes in all the paper presentation competitions he participated in, which secured him a position as a Research Engineer Trainee at Pentagram Research Centre. He was instrumental in establishing IEEE Student Branch at his college and took lead as its Student Chair. He even organized PADAM-2007 a national level technical symposium supported by IEEE Hyderabad Section. He did his project on Waste-to-Energy at Global Renewable Energy Research Institute, SELCO International Ltd. first-of-its-kind thermal power plant in India, FAPCCI Award Winner, supported by Technology Development Board (TDB) and funded by Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC).
Intermediate

Dr. Hafeez Basha studied his Intermediate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry (MPC) at the Gowtham Junior College, Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) Branch of Sri Gowtham Academy of General and Technical Education which is one of the biggest names in the educational services sector in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana producing top ranks at state level in EAMCET and national level in IIT-JEE. He actively participated in the Mathematics Olympiad, Science Exhibitions, Drawing and Painting Competitions where he won several prizes. He scored 88.3% in the exams conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education. He qualified in the All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) and secured a seat at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-Allahabad) in Uttar Pradesh. After qualifying in the state Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) his parents decided to put him in Shadan College of Engineering & Technology so that he could stay in Hyderabad itself.
Schooling

Dr. Hafeez Basha did his schooling from St. Joseph’s High School, Trimulgherry a Christian Missionary School under the Hyderabad Archdiocese Social Service Society (HASSS) run by the Archbishop of Hyderabad. Rev. Fr. Dr. V. K. Swamy and Rev. Fr. Therukunnel M. Mathew were his school Principals at Primary & Secondary level respectively. He was part of the school choir group and used to read newspaper during the daily assembly in the morning. He participated actively in the cultural activities including singing, dancing & skit especially during the Annual Day Celebrations. He also served in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) under the 1-Andhra Battalion of Indian Army as Cadet and completed his training with A-Certificate. He even attended the Annual Training Camp (ATC) at the Golkonda Artillery Centre where he was recognized by his Commanding Officer (CO) for his sharp shooting skills using short range point 22 and point 303 rifles. He was there in his School Cricket Team as the Wicket Keeper and played in various inter-school competitions within the schools of HASSS. He scored 75.66% i.e. First Class with Distinction and passed out in 2001.
